The Jackson Laboratory has kindly provided us with extensive data on the man-mouse comparison. They made available two reports from MGD (Mouse Genome Database):

The data can be found in man-mouse.1 and man-mouse.2. These data are courtesy of The Mouse Genome Database. Thanks are due to Janan Eppig and to Joe Nadeau!

We now have evaluation criteria for sequence assembly.

June 12, 1995

Update to evaluation criteria: Using `genfrag' with a fragment length of 500 and the default variability on the length leads to fragments of length greater than 600 which exceeds the length of the error distribution file. It is therefore necessary to bound the variability to 20 %. The description of the testing procedure has been changed accordingly. The updated information can be found in the new evaluation criteria for sequence assembly. The reference to a new paper describing a fast sequence alignment program has also been added.
